Borne out of an idea that blends features of various high-end basses, Project “Boris” came into existence in June 2023.
Suggested by the customer, the code-name “Boris” was used to indicate that this bass would indeed be a monster, a modern Prometheus!

Later officially named the Gazzbass Quintessence, the bass features black limba wood body wings with a walnut and maple center piece.
Finished with a dark stain and 2K polyurethane clear-coat, the natural beauty of the wood is preserved.

The body shape resembles a cross between an Alembic Series I and a Jaydee GA24.
The electronics comprise of the Gazzbass EQ3 preamp paired with slimline dual coil pickups.
The pickups can be individually set to series or parallel mode and blended together, producing an astonishing range of tonal variety.

The neck is made of maple with a dual action truss rod installed.
The two-octave fingerboard is made of rosewood and comprises LED dot-inlay markers.
The neck profile is an elongated “C”, allowing for precise thumb positioning behind the neck.

Although weighing in at just over 9lbs, the bass balances very well and is suited to all types of musical genres!
