Sheila Denyer, Her Struggle For Life

My name is Gary Denyer. I am attempting to raise funds for my beloved wife of 20 years, Sheila.

On October 2nd 2018, she was diagnosed with stage 3C ovarian cancer. On November 5th 2018, she underwent a full hysterectomy and began chemotherapy on December 10th of that year.

After 5 years of constant chemotherapy and enormous struggles, the worst period of our lives began.

In October 2023, a rapidly growing malignant mass blocked her liver. Heavy with jaundice and weak from the chemo, she underwent three procedures in one week to relieve the condition.

Weakened further, she fell at home and broke her hip in November 2023. Surgery was successful, but complications from her liver surgery saw her admitted once again to correct the liver procedure over Thanksgiving this year.

She is so weak that she can now no longer receive chemotherapy. The disease has financially destroyed us.

With no savings left, we made the decision to arrange for home hospice on December 4th, 2023.

Christmas has had to be cancelled.

I start this fund raiser with the hope of raising enough money to make her remaining days as comfortable as possible and hopefully to pay for a decent funeral.

This is the hardest thing I have ever had to write or do. Please help. Anything would be deeply appreciated.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story.

Concept and Prototype Bass Sale!

Here at Gary Denyer Custom Basses, I have made a number of prototype and concept basses, all still in excellent and functional condition.
Some of these basses went on to become models that I currently offer, others became one-off guitars.

To clear space for new, regular inventory, I have decided to let these concept basses go.
They will now be on sale, most of them with a dramatic price cut!

I will offer them as-is, with choice of either a gig-bag or a hard case.
If the hard case option is chosen, the instrument will take an extra week to ship upon ordering, and the price will go up slightly accordingly.

Prices do not include shipping.

See the links below for all concept and prototype basses on offer!

Demo Unit Refurb Time!

My demo Falcon Series II unit got a battering, even during covid!
Its been played by around 20 different folks and, as such, has seen a lot of action (and hand sanitizer).
So I have decided to re-condition it and put it on sale! Video series will follow…

New Model – Gazzbass Active-P!

So, like I was saying yesterday, lots of P-Bass mania around locally!
Here is penultimate assembly on one of two (sounds like a borg) minus the control knobs, with 22 frets, active electronics and blue LEDs!
